iPhone 15 Pro Max OLED Burn-In: Causes, Effects, and Solutions
Many iPhone 15 Pro Max users have reported instances of OLED burn-in on their screens, which is a result of static images or icons being displayed for extended periods. Apple, however, attributes these issues to a software bug, asserting that it’s “display image persistence” rather than OLED burn-in. The company plans to address the problem in a future iOS 17.1 update. In the meantime, the best preventative measure is to avoid leaving static images on the screen for too long. If OLED burn-in is detected, Apple recommends having the device checked by a technician.
